Everyone is going to love this spectacular meatloaf! Oh, man, you need this recipe in your life. Just take a look at that photo, and you will have a concrete idea about how it would taste! Ingredients:
1 tbsp olive oil
1 green bell pepper, chopped small
½ c of whole milk
1 ½ lbs. lean ground beef
3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 c bread crumbs (regular, Italian style or panko)
1 large onion, chopped
1 large Egg
½ teaspoon Adobo seasoning
8 thick slices of mozzarella OR provolone cheese
½ teaspoon salt & 1 tsp pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ c mushrooms chopped (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the peppers and onion, then sauté until soft. Transfer into a large mixing bowl.
Add the rest of the ingredients except the cheese into the bowl with the sauteed veggies. Stir until well blended.
Apply cooking spray in a loaf pan.
Add ½ of the meatloaf mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
Arrange 4 slices of cheese over the meatloaf.
Add the rest of the meatloaf mixture over the cheese and spread it evenly.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven, then add the rest of the cheese on top.
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the cheese.
Put it back inside the oven and bake for 10 more minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
Turn off the oven and allow the pan to sit inside for a few minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
