How to make The Cheesiest, Crunchiest Chicken
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Using nonstick cooking spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Place the chicken, broccoli, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Mix well until blended. On a flat surface, place the separated crescent rolls one at a time. On top, add a large heaping scoop of the chicken mixture. Roll up the crescent roll, sealing any openings. Do the same with the rest of the rolls. Set aside the remaining chicken mixture. Into the prepared baking dish, place the rolls. Put in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes.
Step 3: In the meantime, heat the soup, milk, sour cream, and 1 cup cheddar in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, whisking until the cheese has melted. On low heat, keep the mixture warm.
Step 4: Take the crescents out of the oven after 10 minutes of baking. Around the rolls, pour the leftover chicken mixture, then cover with the sauce. Return to the oven and resume baking for another 20 minutes.
Step 5: When done, remove the cheesy chicken crescent bake from the oven and serve warm with a simple side salad or wild rice. Enjoy!
Note:
For this recipe, you can use leftover Thanksgiving turkey in place of the chicken.
