Ingredients:
1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
4 boneless pork chops
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Seasoning Blend
1 teaspoon chilli powder (or less if prefer lower heat)
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon sage
½ teaspoon marjoram
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Pan Gravy
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 c chicken or vegetable broth
2 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Make sure to coat each well. Let them rest for about 30 minutes.
Add the flour, garlic powder, chilli powder, marjoram, paprika, sage, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Arrange the pork chops into the skillet, then cook each side for about 3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Turn the heat down to low, then cover the skillet with a lid. Cook for another 10 minutes or until done.
Remove the pork chops and transfer them onto a clean plate.
In the same skillet, add vinegar and chicken broth, then stir until well blended. Scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the browned bits.
Add the honey and stir until well blended. Simmer for a few minutes until it reduces its volume.
Add the butter and stir until well blended.
Remove the skillet from the stove, then put the pork chops back. Toss until well coated by the delicious gravy.
Allow the pork chops to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
Serve and enjoy!
