Ingredients:
1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
¼ teaspoon black pepper
4 boneless pork chops
1 teaspoon salt
Seasoning Blend
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chilli powder (or less if prefer lower heat)
½ teaspoon sage
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon marjoram
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
Pan Gravy
1 c chicken or vegetable broth
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
Directions:
Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper, then rub each until well coated.
Add sage, flour, chilli powder, marjoram, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the pork chops into the hot skillet, then sear each side for a few minutes until they turn golden brown.
Turn the heat down to low, then cover the skillet and cook for another 10 minutes or until done.
Transfer cooked pork chops onto a clean plate.
In the same skillet, add vinegar and chicken broth, then stir until well blended. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the browned bits.
Add the honey and stir until well blended. Simmer for a few minutes until it reduces its volume.
Add the butter and allow it to melt. Stir until well blended.
Remove the skillet from the stove, then bring the pork chops back. Toss until well coated by the delicious sauce.
Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes at room temperature to incorporate all the flavours.
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top to garnish.
Serve warm and enjoy!
