HOW TO MAKE THE BEST DIP IN THE WORLD
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Transfer the bacon to a plate once done and allow it to cool. Then, chop or crumble the bacon into pieces.
Step 3: Place the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onion in a large bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 4: Into a 1-quart baking dish, spoon the mixture. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the cheese is hot and bubbling.
Notes:
This dip is great to serve with toasted bread wedges, pita chips, bagel chips, crackers, veggies, and fries.
To give this dip a nice texture and added flavor, you can sprinkle on top a mixture of crushed Ritz crackers and melted butter.
For a delicious variety, add some chopped artichokes, chopped jalapeño, or diced green chiles to the dip.
I prefer to cook the bacon until extra crispy. It makes a whole lot of difference!
To enhance the flavor, add a couple of dashes of Worcestershire sauce or hot sauce. Adjust the spiciness according to preference.
You can prep the dip in advance. Simply wrap it and keep it in the fridge until ready to bake.
