The teriyaki glaze is my favorite in this dish! It’s so rich and just simply amazing! Don’t skip on this recipe. I promise you that it is worth all your time. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
For the Teriyaki Salmon:
2 ½ pounds salmon filet sliced into 2-inch-wide slices
For the Teriyaki Sauce:
2 large or 3 medium garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger, or ½ tsp ground ginger
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 tablespoons soy sauce
⅓ c packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
To serve:
Green onion, chopped, optional
Sesame seeds to garnish, optional
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil and apply cooking spray on it.
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Stir everything until well blended. Make sure to dissolve the sugar completely.
Add the salmon pieces into a large bowl.
Pour the sauce on top of the salmon pieces and gently toss until well coated.
Cover the bowl with plastic and allow the salmon to marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Move the marinated salmon pieces onto the prepared baking sheet. Set aside the marinade.
Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the salmon for about 12 to 16 minutes or until done.
Meanwhile, place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Pour the reserved marinade into the saucepan and allow it to boil. Reduce the heat to low, then simmer for about 3 minutes or until the texture becomes a bit thick. Remove the pan from the heat.
Remove the salmon from the oven, then brush each with the delicious teriyaki sauce.
Sprinkle sesame seeds and freshly chopped green onion on top to garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
