This American Goulash is my ultimate comfort food! You have everything you need in one pot! From ground beef to noodles, you are so in for a treat! Ready in an hour, this recipe is one to try. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Italian Seasoning
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded
2 15 oz. cans of tomato sauce
1 large onion, diced
Fresh Italian parsley, chopped
2 lbs. ground beef
3 c water
2 tsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
3 bay leaves
1 tbsp beef base or bouillon
2 c elbow macaroni noodles, uncooked
1 tbsp Seasoned salt
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 15 oz. cans of diced tomatoes (one petite diced)
Directions:
Place a large stockpot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add the ground beef, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown. Move the browned beef onto a clean plate leaving 2 tbsp of its accumulated grease in the pot.
Add the onion into the pot, then sauté for a few minutes until translucent. Add garlic and sauté for a minute or until aromatic.
Put the ground beef back into the pot together with the beef base, cans of tomatoes, bay leaves, water, black pepper, Italian seasoning, seasoned salt, and paprika. Stir everything until well incorporated. Let the mixture boil.
Turn the heat down to low, then cover the pot with the lid and simmer everything for about 20 minutes. Stir in the uncooked noodles.
Cover the pot again, then simmer everything for 15 to 20 minutes or until the pasta is al dente. Stir occasionally.
Remove the pot from the heat, then add the cheese and allow it to completely melt.
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top to garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
