INGREDIENTS
Sweet and Spicy Baked Honey Sriracha Chicken:
1 egg whisked
¼ c. all-purpose flour
1 c. panko breadcrumbs
8 oz. boneless chicken breast, cubed
Sweet and Spicy Honey Sriracha Sauce:
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp sriracha
2 tbsp honey
⅛ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
3 tbsp water
HOW TO MAKE SWEET AND SPICY BAKED HONEY SRIRACHA CHICKEN
Sweet and Spicy Honey Sriracha Sauce:
Step 1: Into a large saucepan, heat the oil. Then, add the garlic and cook for about a minute. Add the soy sauce, honey, sriracha, water, and crushed red pepper. Stir and continue to cook for another 2 minutes, stirring until the sauce has thickened.
Step 2: Set aside when done, keeping it on low heat until you are prepared to toss it with the chicken.
Sweet and Spicy Baked Honey Sriracha Chicken:
Step 3: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.
Step 4: Coat the chicken in flour, then in the egg, and dredge in Panko breadcrumbs. Onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone baking mat, line the chicken. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes or until the chicken is lightly brown and completely cooked.
Step 5: Remove the chicken from the oven when done and toss them with the sauce. Serve right away. If desired, garnish with more red pepper flakes and some green onions. Enjoy!
