Ingredients:
Water
1 tablespoon salt
12 oz dried elbow macaroni noodles
Cheese Sauce:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
¼ c all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon ground mustard
¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
2½ c milk whole
6 oz sharp cheddar cheese shredded
2 oz fresh parmesan cheese shredded
2 oz cream cheese
Directions:
Step 1: Place a medium pot on the stove and pour in water. Turn the heat to high and bring the water to a boil.
Step 2: Add in 1 tablespoon of salt.
Step 3: Add in the macaroni noodles and cook for about 5 minutes or until al dente.
Step 4: Drain the noodles and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 5: Place a large pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 6: Add in butter and allow it to melt.
Step 7: Add in flour and stir until well blended.
Step 8: Add in the seasonings and stir until well mixed or thick, then cook for about 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 9: Add in milk and whisk until well blended, then simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Step 10: Remove from the heat and add in the cheeses. Stir until melted completely.
Step 11: Add in the cream cheese and stir until melted as well.
Step 12: Add in the cooked macaroni and stir until well combined.
Step 13: Serve immediately. Enjoy!
