Ingredients:
6 slices provolone cheese – cut in half
9 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
1 large Egg – beaten
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
Italian Seasoning
¼ teaspoon fresh ground pepper
8 ounces thinly sliced deli Genoa salami
2 (8 ounces) cans of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
½ c sliced roasted red bell peppers – drained very well
½ c pepperoncini pepper rings or banana pepper rings – drained very well (I love using pepperoncini peppers!)
Herbed Oil Dipping Sauce (Mix)
2-3 cloves of Garlic – grated or very finely minced
3-6 tablespoons of Balsamic Vinegar – divided
A pinch of dried Basil or 1 teaspoon of fresh basil – finely chopped
Stir olive oil, herbs, garlic, and balsamic together in a small mixing bowl.
Grated fresh Parmesan cheese
A pinch of dried Oregano or 1 teaspoon of fresh oregano – finely chopped
Sprinkle freshly grated parmesan over the top.
½ c Good Quality Olive oil
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Slice the jarred roasted red bell peppers until you get about half a cup. Use paper towels to pat them dry as well as ½ cup of banana peppers. Add them into a mixing bowl, then sprinkle ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper on top. Toss until well coated.
Unroll the crescent rolls, then split them into triangles. Place them over a greased round pizza stone overlapping each other. It should resemble the shape of the sun.
Arrange to overlap each other as well the Provolone cheese round the crescent ring.
Arrange these things in layers: Ham slices, Genoa salami, pepper mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
Secure and tuck in the sides of the triangle.
Brush it with the egg wash.
Sprinkle black pepper and Italian seasoning on top.
Bake for 22 minutes in the preheated oven until it turns golden brown.
Serve with the dipping sauce. Enjoy!
