Ingredients:
Vegetable oil (for frying)
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp ground ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced
1-2 c cornstarch (to coat chicken)
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
5 tbsp honey
½-1 tsp crushed red pepper
3 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp white pepper
½ c chicken broth
green onions for garnish
Directions:
Coat each chicken slice with cornstarch.
Place the chicken slices inside the fridge to chill for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, add chicken broth, soy sauce, honey, ginger, peppers, and garlic into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Place a frying pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add vegetable oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the chicken in batches, then cook until brown. Remove from the skillet and transfer into a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat the process with the rest of the chicken.
Remove the oil from the skillet, then add the sauce. Allow it to boil, then simmer for about 20 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Serve over rice and sprinkle green onions on top. Enjoy!
