Ingredients:
¼ c sour cream
8 oz. spaghetti noodles (uncooked)
¼ c butter (softened)
26 oz. spaghetti sauce (1 jar)
1 lb. ground beef (you could also use ground turkey)
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
8 oz. cottage cheese
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Refer to the directions provided on the package of the noodles on how to cook them. Drain and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, cottage cheese, sour cream, and cream cheese. Stir until well blended.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add ground beef into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes or until crumbly and brown. Remove any accumulated grease.
Add the spaghetti sauce over the browned beef, then stir until well blended.
Place ½ of the cooked noodles in the prepared baking pan.
Add the cream cheese mixture over the noodles and spread it evenly.
Add the rest of the noodles over the cheese layer, followed by the red meat sauce. Make sure to coat the noodles well.
Place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake the Million Dollar Casserole for about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, then bake for additional 15 minutes or until the cheese turns golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
