Ingredients:
1 lb bacon
1 large head cabbage, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 (8 oz) package sliced fresh mushrooms
salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add the bacon, then cook until crumbly and brown.
Remove the bacon slices from the skillet onto a clean plate to drain any excess grease.
Crumble the bacon.
Leave about 3 tbsp of bacon grease in the skillet.
Add the cabbage, mushrooms, and onion. Sauté until brown and soft.
Put the bacon back to the skillet and toss until well combined.
Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot over rice and enjoy!
