Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter
1½ c cooked brown rice – (Use minute rice to save time)
2 c broccoli florets
½ teaspoon salt
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage sliced ¼-inch thick
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
Put a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the sausages and cook for 5 minutes or until they turn brown.
Add the broccoli, then cover the skillet. Turn the heat down to low and cook for a few minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Add the garlic powder, onion salt, and cooked rice. Stir until well blended.
Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted completely. Simmer for a few minutes.
Serve right away and enjoy!
