Ingredients:
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 pound Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage sliced ¼-inch thick
2 c broccoli florets
1½ c cooked brown rice – (Use minute rice to save time)
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon onion salt
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
Put a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the sausages and cook for 5 minutes or until they turn brown.
Add the broccoli, then cover the skillet. Turn the heat down to low and cook for 5 minutes or until soft. Stir occasionally.
Add the garlic powder, cooked rice, and onion salt. Stir until well combined.
Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted completely. Simmer for a few minutes.
