Ingredients:
1 (14 ounces) package Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage, sliced
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
2 peppers, diced (red, green, or orange)
2 garlic cloves, minced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter
optional seasonings: Italian seasoning or Cajun
3-4 potatoes, cubed
2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and olive oil, then allow them to become hot.
Add the potatoes, then cook for about 10 minutes or until the potatoes are brown and crispy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove the potatoes from the skillet and transfer them onto a clean plate.
Reduce the heat to medium, then add the sausage. Cook for about 3 minutes or until brown.
Add the onions and peppers, then sauté until soft.
Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic, then sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Put the potatoes back to the skillet and toss until well combined. Cook for a few more minutes.
Add more seasonings if needed.
Serve right away and enjoy!
Note:
You can cook the potatoes and sausage in two skillets to save time.
