My family cannot get over this amazing dish. We love to serve this Smoked Sausage Cajun Alfredo with green beans or salad and bread. This is an impressive dish loaded with wonderful flavors! Ingredients
2 c. heavy cream
1 (14-ounce) package of turkey smoked sausage, cut into ¼” slices
½ c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
8-oz. Pasta
HOW TO MAKE SMOKED SAUSAGE CAJUN ALFREDO
Step 1: Following the package directions, cook the pasta until al dente. Drain when done and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the sausage for about 5 minutes over medium-high heat, stirring often.
Step 3: To the skillet with the sausage, add the cream along with the Cajun seasoning. Bring everything to a boil. Once boiling, decrease the heat and gently simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes or until the mixture is starting to thicken.
Step 4: Take the skillet off the heat and whisk in the Parmesan cheese. Then, toss in the pasta until completely coated.
Notes:
For this recipe, you can use turkey smoked sausage to cut down on calories.
Feel free to decrease the amount of the Cajun seasoning if you are worried about this dish is spicy.
You can use any of your preferred pasta shapes.
