Pros and Cons of Slow Cooker Soup
Soup is one of the most satisfying and easy-to-prepare meals you can make. It can be made in advance and refrigerated or frozen for later. Plus, it’s a great way to use up leftover vegetables. Slow cooker soup has all of these benefits, plus it’s super convenient. You can set it and forget it, which is ideal when you’re short on time.
However, there are some downsides to making soup in a slow cooker. First, it can be difficult to get the timing right. If you overcook the soup, the vegetables will be mushy and the flavor will be bland. Second, slow cookers can vary in heat, so it’s hard to know how long to cook the soup for. Finally, if you’re not careful, slow cooker soups can end up watery.
