Ingredients:
Meatballs
1 pound ground beef (fatter, means juicier meatballs but higher calories)
1 pound ground pork (fatter, means juicier meatballs but higher calories)
½ onion grated or finely chopped
1 large egg
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
Slow Cooker Swedish Meatballs
1 ¼ c low sodium beef broth
½ c half and half
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp dried parsley
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp thyme
¼ tsp pepper
1 pinch nutmeg
Directions:
For the Baked Meatballs:
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, add the pork, beef, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until mixed.
Step 2: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 3: Line with parchment paper a baking sheet.
Step 4: Form meatballs out of the mixture about 1-inch balls.
Step 5: Arrange the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet.
Step 6: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until brown.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and let the meatballs sit at room temperature to cool.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
For the Slow Cooker Meatballs:
Step 1: Line a 4-quart slow cooker with Reynolds Kitchens Liner.
Step 2: Arrange the meatballs on the bottom of the prepared slow cooker.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the half and half, broth, Worcestershire sauce, cornstarch, thyme, nutmeg, parsley, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Step 4: Transfer the mixture into the slow cooker over the meatballs.
Step 5: Cover the slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on a low setting or 2 hours on a high setting.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy!
