Ingredients:
1 c Butter or margarine
2 c chopped onion
2 c chopped celery
¼ c chopped fresh parsley
12 oz sliced mushrooms
12 c dry bread cubes
1 tsp poultry seasoning
1 ½ tsp dried sage
1 tsp dried thyme
½ tsp dried marjoram
1 ½ tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper
4 ½ c chicken broth, or as needed
2 Eggs, beaten
Directions:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the onion, mushroom, celery, and parsley. Saute until soft. Remove from the heat.
Place the bread cubes into a large mixing bowl, then top them with the mixed veggies.
Sprinkle poultry seasoning, thyme, sage, marjoram, salt, and pepper.
Add the broth and eggs, then stir everything until just mixed.
Move everything into a slow cooker.
Cover the slow cooker and cook for 45 minutes on a high setting.
Cook for another 8 hours on a low setting.
