My kids love these Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes! This recipe is super easy to prepare. Just follow these steps for they will guide you to perfection! Enjoy these cheesy treats in the comfort of your home! You don’t need to worry about leftovers because I know there won’t be any!
Ingredients:
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
2 tsp vegetable oil
6 hamburger buns
6 slices of yellow cheese
1 ½ lbs. of ground beef
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper (to taste)
½ c ketchup
1 tsp prepared mustard
16 oz. tomato sauce
½ tsp onion powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
Directions:
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the ground beef into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown. Sprinkle salt and pepper to season. This usually takes about 6 to 8 minutes.
Empty the skillet into the slow cooker.
Add the rest of the ingredients into the slow cooker, then stir everything until well blended.
Cover and seal the slow cooker, then cook everything for about 3 hours on a high setting or 3 hours on a low setting.
Add the meat over each bun, then top each with a slice of cheese.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use ground pork or ground turkey for this recipe instead of ground beef. Double the recipe if you are serving more than 6 people.
You skip the oil when cooking the meat.
Feel free to add chopped jalapeno to give it a spicy flavor.
Leftovers can last up to 2 days in the fridge.
