Ingredients:
1.5 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast (1.5-2 pounds works fine)
16 oz. Olive Garden Italian dressing (or any Italian dressing you like) Note-olive Garden dressing is high in sodium and can
be salty. Choose a lower sodium dressing if desired.
¼ c grated parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon black pepper
8 oz. cream cheese
16 oz. penne pasta cooked according to package directions and drain well
¼ c parmesan cheese
Directions:
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Pour the Olive Garden Italian dressing over the chicken, then sprinkle a generous amount of Parmesan cheese on top as well as black pepper.
Pour the cream cheese over the chicken.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid, then cook for about 4 hours on a high setting or 6 hours on a low setting.
About 20 minutes before the cooking time ends, prepare the pasta.
Place a large pot with salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Use two forks to shred the chicken into small pieces.
Add the pasta into the slow cooker and put the shredded chicken back as well. Stir everything until well coated with the delicious sauce.
Garnish with more Parmesan cheese on top.
