Ingredients:
1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast (1.5-2 pounds works fine)
16 ounces Olive Garden Italian dressing (or any Italian dressing you like) Note- olive garden dressing is high in sodium and can be salty. Choose a lower sodium dressing if desired.
¼ c grated Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon black pepper
8 ounces cream cheese
Additional:
16 ounces penne pasta cooked according to package directions and drain well
¼ c Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Put the chicken breasts on the bottom part of the slow cooker.
Pour the Olive Garden Italian dressing on top of the chicken breasts.
Sprinkle a generous amount of Parmesan cheese over the dressing as well as pepper.
Put the cream cheese over the cheese.
Cover the slow cooker and cook for about 4 hours on a high setting or 6 hours on a low setting.
Meanwhile, refer to the directions provided on the package of the pasta on how to cook it. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred them into small pieces.
Put the shredded chicken back in the slow cooker as well as the cooked pasta. Stir until well combined.
Sprinkle more Parmesan cheese on top.
Serve hot and enjoy!
