This is by far the best lasagna I have ever tasted! You need to give this recipe a try and taste it yourself. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ lb ground beef
½ lb ground Italian sausage (I use hot)
1 ½ tsp salt
½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 large onion, chopped*
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp dried parsley flakes
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauces
6 oz can tomato paste
29 oz tomato sauce
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 ¼ c water
8 oz lasagna noodles, uncooked
4 c shredded mozzarella cheese
1 ½ c cottage cheese
½ c freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add in the ground beef, onion, and Italian sausage. Cook until the beef and sausage are brown.
Step 3: Add in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, tomato sauce, parsley, water, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed, then simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 4: Place ¼ of the meat sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 5: Place ⅓ of the pasta noodles on top of the sauce.
Step 6: In a small mixing bowl, add in the cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well combined.
Step 7: Sprinkle ⅓ of the cheese mixture on top of the noodles. Repeat this process until everything is arranged in layers.
Step 8: Cover the slow cooker and cook for 4 to 5 hours on low heat or until the noodles are al dente.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
