Just follow these simple steps for they will guide you to perfection! Feel free to tweak this recipe a bit to your liking. Don’t forget to share this recipe with your peers as well. Ingredients:
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
3 cloves garlic minced
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into one-inch cubes
¼ c cornstarch
½ c hoisin sauce
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper more or less to liking
½ c brown sugar
Optional garnish green onions, sesame seeds, additional red pepper flakes
1 tsp sesame oil
¼ teaspoon dry ginger
Directions:
Add the chicken breasts and cornstarch into a mixing bowl. Toss until well the chicken breasts are well coated.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the chicken breasts and sear each side until golden brown.
Transfer the chicken breasts into a slow cooker and arrange them to the bottom.
In a mixing bowl, add soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ginger, rice wine vinegar, and crushed red pepper. Stir until well blended.
Pour the mixture over the chicken breasts and spread it evenly.
Cover the slow cooker and cook everything for about 4 hours on a low setting.
Serve hot over rice and enjoy!
Notes:
Sprinkle each serving with green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes to garnish.
