Easy, simple, and delicious! This Cheesy Kielbasa Hash Brown Casserole is superb! All the ingredients complement well with each other. My only advice to you is to be very generous with the cheese. Yeah, you don’t need to follow the amount of cheese that I have written because it is just a default amount. My motto in life is simple. More cheese, more fun! Feel free to add more ingredients if you feel like it. For example, you can add bacon or pepperoni in it for a meatier taste. I have tried it three times already and I am very impressed with the result. Oh man, you need to give this a try. I mean, just look at that picture. Don’t you want to just dig in and just lie there forever? Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 32- oz. bag of hash browns, defrosted
14 oz. kielbasa, thawed and cut into small piece
1 small onion, diced
⅓ cup of butter, melted
2 ½ cups shredded cheese (I used a mix of Monterey jack and cheddar)
10.5 oz can cream of chicken
1 cup whole milk
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare a large crockpot.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray and add in the onion, kielbasa, 2 cups of cheese, and hash browns. Stir until well mixed.
Step 3: In a medium mixing bowl, add the butter, milk, and cream of chicken. Stir until well combined.
Step 4: Transfer the mixture into the crockpot. Pour it in over the hash brown mixture.
Step 5: Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
Step 6: Cover the crockpot and turn the heat to high. Cook for about 3 hours or until all the ingredients soft and the cheese has melted completely.
Step 7: Spoon the casserole into a serving bowl. Sprinkle more cheese if you prefer.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
