INGREDIENTS
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground beef
1 small white onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp dried thyme or 2 tsp fresh
3 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and sliced ¼” thick
3 c. cheddar cheese, grated
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
½ c. chicken broth
How to make Slow Cooker Beef and Potato Gratin
Step 1: Place the ground beef in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Then, cook over medium-high heat until no longer pink. If needed, drain the excess grease and set the cooked meat aside.
Step 2: In the insert of a slow cooker, arrange half of the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. On top, add half of the onions, garlic, thyme, beef, and cheese. Do the same layers with the rest of the ingredients.
Step 3: On top, pour the broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Step 4: Put the lid on and set it to cook for 4 hours on high.
Step 5: When done, serve the Beef and Potato Gratin immediately. Enjoy!
