Ingredients:
2 c cheddar cheese
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1 lb. pork sausage – jimmy dean
1 ½ c whole milk or heavy cream
8 Eggs
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 package frozen tater tots – approximately 24 ounces
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the sausage into the hot skillet, then cook for a few minutes until crumbly and brown. Discard any accumulated fat. Transfer the sausage onto a clean plate.
Add all spices, 1 cup of heavy cream, and 8 eggs into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer to the prepared baking dish.
Top each tater tot with the sausage, cheddar cheese, and egg mixture.
Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil.
Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes.
Remove the foil cover and bake for 15 or 20 more minutes or until done.
Remove the casserole from the oven.
Serve right away with salsa, bacon, and sour cream. Enjoy!
Notes:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge.
You can prepare this the night before, then bake it in the oven in the morning.
