Ingredients:
3 tbsp real butter
¾ c all-purpose flour
½ c sugar
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of nutmeg
¼ tsp of salt
¾ c buttermilk
2 c only of sliced fresh peaches (or fruit of choice)
1 tbsp of sugar for the top
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F. Place the oven rack in the middle.
Place the butter into an 8-inch baking pan. Place it inside the oven and allow it to melt.
Remove the pan from the oven.
In a mixing bowl, add ½ cup of sugar, flour, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
Add milk and whisk until well mixed and smooth.
Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
Arrange the fruits on top of the batter.
Sprinkle 1 tbsp of sugar over the fruits.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about an hour or until done.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Serve with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
