Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor – these honey garlic baked pork chops are the best pork chops you’ll ever make! The simple sauce makes these chops even more appetizing! Serve this melt-in-your-mouth, chops with some cauliflower rice for a healthy dinner, and do not forget to spoon the sauce over!
INGREDIENTS
4 (4 oz. each) bone-in pork chops, fat trimmed
1 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp no-salt ketchup
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
½ tbsp sweet chili sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp olive oil
chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
½ tsp dried oregano
How to make Honey Garlic Baked Pork Chops
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Place the honey, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, chili sauce, and oregano in a small mixing bowl. Mix well until everything is combined.
Step 3: In a large bowl, place the pork chops and pour the sauce over them. Toss to coat the chops with the sauce.
Step 4: In an oven-safe 12-inch skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sauce and sear for about 2 minutes on each side until both sides of the pork chops are just browned.
Step 5: Take the skillet off the heat. Add the butter and place the skillet in the preheated oven. Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes or until the pork chops are completely cooked. The pork chops are done once their internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
Step 6: To a serving plate, transfer the pork chops and spoon the sauce over. Serve right away garnished with some parsley. Enjoy!
NOTES:
HONEY GARLIC PORK CHOPS ON THE GRILL:
For basting, set aside 2 tbsp of the honey garlic sauce.
In the rest of the honey-garlic sauce mixture, coat the pork chops.
On a greased grill, place the chops and cook over medium-high heat.
Close the lid and grill the chops for about 5 minutes on each side, basting the pork chops twice while they cook.
MAKE AHEAD:
In a large Ziplock bag, place the pork chops and add the honey garlic sauce. Seal the bag and rub the sauce around the chops.
Store in the fridge for up to 8 hours.
Before cooking, let the chops sit on the counter for at least 10 minutes.
TO FREEZE:
In a large Ziplock bag, place the pork chops and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Seal the bag tightly and place it in the freezer.
The night before, take the bag out of the freezer and keep it in the fridge to thaw overnight.
