I am so excited to share this recipe with you today! These Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes are not to be ignored! They will surely satisfy your cravings today. Every bite is so creamy and cheesy that you would want to eat the entire dish! This recipe is a must-try and you will surely enjoy preparing it!
Ingredients:
2 c whole milk
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
3 tbsp butter
1 onion, sliced into rings
4 russet potatoes, sliced into ¼-inch slices
1½ c shredded Cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
½ tsp kosher salt
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Brush an 8×8-inch casserole dish with butter.
Add the onions and potatoes into the greased baking dish, then arrange them alternately in rows. Sprinkle salt and pepper to season.
Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the flour and salt into the hot pan, then whisk and cook for about a minute to remove the raw taste of the flour.
Add milk, then stir and cook for a few more minutes until the texture becomes thick.
Add the cheese, then stir until melted completely and well blended.
Pour the cheese mixture on top of the potatoes and onions.
Cover the baking dish with foil.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake the Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes for about 1 ½ hours. (Broil for 5 minutes if you want a crispy topping.)
Remove the baking dish from the oven.

Note:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. Reheat in the microwave for a few minutes.
