Bang! This insanely flavorful shrimp dish is ready in just 20 minutes! You can either cook it in the Air Fryer or in a skillet. I’m telling you, don’t skip this recipe. It will be the best decision you will ever make today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Bang Bang Sauce:
¼ c sweet chili sauce
½ tsp sriracha sauce or less or more to taste
½ c mayo
Bang Bang Shrimp Batter:
1 tbsp avocado oil for brushing the air fryer pan and shrimp
½ c buttermilk
1–2-pound jumbo shrimp shell off and deveined
¾ c cornstarch
1 tsp parsley or cilantro, finely chopped, for garnish
1 c Panko bread crumbs more if needed
Directions:
Prepare the Air Fryer and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F. Add a little amount of avocado oil.
Add sriracha, mayonnaise, and sweet chili sauce into a bowl. Stir until well blended.
In three individual bowls, add cornstarch, breadcrumbs, and buttermilk.
Add one shrimp into the cornstarch, buttermilk, and breadcrumbs. Toss until well coated. Shake off any excess and repeat the process with the rest of the shrimp.
Lay the coated shrimp into the preheated Air Fryer.
Cover the Air Fryer, then cook the shrimp for about 5 minutes.
Turn the shrimp over, then brush each with a bit of oil. Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes.
Remove the shrimp from the Air Fryer, then place them onto a serving plate.
Drizzle the Bang Bang Sauce on top of the shrimp.
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley or cilantro on top to garnish.
Serve and enjoy!
Stovetop Method:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add a bit of oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the coated shrimp, then cook each side for about 3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Drizzle the Bang Bang Sauce over, then toss until well coated. Garnish with greens.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!
