With these very simple ingredients, mainly ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, saltine crackers, oil, pepper, and red pepper flakes, you will have the best treats to serve as appetizers or snacks! You will surely love these Alabama Fire Crackers. All you need to do is to combine all the ingredients in a bag, leave it overnight on the counter, and serve the next day! Very easy, right? Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 packets of ranch dressing mix
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 box of saltine crackers 16 ounces
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 ⅔ c canola oil
2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
Directions:
Add garlic, oil, black pepper, onion, and ranch dressing mix inside a bag. Seal the bag and shake it until everything is well blended.
Put the crackers inside the bag with the dressing mixture, then seal one more time and shake it until the biscuits are well coated.
Place the crackers flat on your counter and leave them for an hour.
Flip the bag and leave for another hour. Repeat the process for several hours or overnight.
Transfer the crackers onto a clean serving plate.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Make sure to add oil or else the ingredients won’t stick to the crackers. We don’t want that!
Feel free to add more red pepper flakes if you prefer. I like it around 5 on a scale of 10.
If you are serving these crackers for your children, you can omit the red pepper flakes completely.
