This recipe has surpassed all of my expectations! At first, I thought it would be just one of those biscuit recipes that my Grandma used to bake, but I was wrong! This recipe has everything! Don’t believe me? Well, you just have to give this one a try and taste it yourself! These heavenly treats are perfect for breakfast or pretty much any time of the day! Feel free to add more ingredients if you want. Have a wonderful day, friends, and I hope you are all well today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Biscuits
2 c all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp kosher salt
1 stick unsalted butter, cubed
1 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 tbsp chives, minced
¾ c buttermilk
Sausage, Egg, Cheese Filling
1 c shredded cheddar cheese, divided
8 breakfast sausage patties, fully cooked
6 eggs, scrambled
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Add baking powder, flour, and salt into a food processor, then pulse until well mixed.
Add cheddar cheese, butter, and chives. Pulse again until well mixed.
Add the buttermilk and pulse until well blended.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then transfer the dough to it. Knead and roll it into ½-inch thick.
Use a cutter to cut it into circular slices.
Top each dough with cheese, 1 sausage patty, and 2 tbsp of scrambled eggs.
Place another dough on top and seal the sides.
Line with parchment paper a baking sheet.
Arrange them onto the prepared baking sheet. You will make about 8 rolls.
Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Note:
Place any leftovers inside a resealable bag, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to one week.
