I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Have a wonderful day, friends, and I hope you are all well today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
7 tablespoons Hershey’s cocoa powder, divided
1 ¼ cups sugar, divided
½ cup milk
⅓ cup butter, melted
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla flavouring
½ cup packed light brown sugar
1 ½ cups tap hot water
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, 3 tbsp of cocoa, baking powder, and ¾ cup white sugar. Whisk until well mixed. Set aside the rest of the cocoa and sugar for later use.
Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla. Stir until well blended.
Transfer the mixture into an 8-inch baking dish and spread it evenly.
In another mixing bowl, add the reserved sugars and cocoa. Stir until well mixed.
Sprinkle the sugar mixture on top of the batter.
Pour the hot water over the batter. Make sure not to stir.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Serve warm with ice cream. Enjoy!
