Ingredients:
2 c broccoli florets
1½ c cooked brown rice – (Use minute rice to save time)
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 pound Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage, sliced ¼-inch thick
1 tablespoon butter
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
Directions:
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and olive oil, then allow the butter to melt.
Add the sausage slices into the hot skillet, then cook for about 5 minutes or until they turn brown.
Turn the heat down to low, then add the broccoli florets into the skillet and cover it with the lid. Cook the broccoli for another 5 minutes.
Add salt, cooked rice, onion, and garlic powder. Stir everything until well incorporated.
Add the shredded cheese and stir until completely melted. Remove from the heat and garnish with freshly chopped herbs of your choice.
