½ c celery, diced
8 ounces solid tuna 2 cans
1 c milk
½ c green bell pepper, diced
1 c grated cheddar cheese divided
½ c red bell pepper, diced
2 tablespoons butter, melted
OPTIONAL:
¼ c fresh parsley, minced
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Place a large saucepan with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Add the pasta and a bit of salt, then cook for a few minutes until al dente.
Drain and rinse the pasta with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add the melted butter and breadcrumbs. Stir until well incorporated.
Add ½ of the cheese into the bowl with the butter mixture and stir until well blended.
Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the soup and milk, then stir until well blended.
Add the rest of the cheese, veggies, and tuna. Stir again until well blended. Simmer the mixture for a few minutes.
Add the parsley and stir until well combined. Remove the pan from the heat.
Add the cooked and drained pasta into the pan, then toss until well coated by the delicious sauce.
Transfer the mixture to an 8×8-inch casserole dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the cheese mixture on top.
Place it in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 30 minutes.
Remove the casserole from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
