Ingredients
½ c. mushrooms, sliced
4 chicken breasts, skinless, boneless
¼ tsp salt
½ tbsp Italian seasoning
1 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 c. marinara sauce
How to make Easy Mozzarella Chicken with Marinara Sauce and Mushrooms
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F.
Step 2: To the casserole dish, add the chicken breasts and season with Italian seasoning and salt.
Step 3: On top of each chicken breast, place the sliced mushrooms. Over the chicken, evenly pour the marinara sauce and sprinkle with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Step 4: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes, uncovered, or until the chicken is completely cooked. If desired, broil for the last 4 minutes.
