Ingredients:
2 ½ tablespoons peanut oil (or vegetable or canola)
2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic (2 cloves)
½ small onion, finely chopped (about ½ cup)
2 teaspoons ginger, finely chopped
7 ounces / 220 g pork mince
10 ounces / 300 g green beans
SAUCE
1 ½ teaspoons + Chili Garlic Sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Stir until well blended.
Remove the tips of the beans, then roughly chop them into 1-inch pieces.
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Add a bit of oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the beans, then sauté each side until charred. Transfer into a mixing bowl.
Reduce the heat down to medium, then another tablespoon of oil, and allow it to become hot.
Add the onion, then sauté until soft.
Add the ginger and garlic, then sauté until aromatic.
Add the pork mince, then cook until crumbly and brown.
Add the sauté and stir until well blended. Simmer for about 30 seconds.
Add the beans, then stir until well mixed. Simmer for about a minute.
Garnish each serving with red chilli.
Serve and enjoy!
Note:
I like to serve this dish over rice.
