These cookies are perfect to serve pretty much all the time! If you are in search of treats to serve on Christmas, you need to give this recipe a try! Ingredients:
1 c butter
½ c confectioners’ sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 ¼ c all-purpose flour
1 c chopped pecans
⅓ c confectioners’ sugar for dusting, or as needed
¼ c finely crushed peppermint candy canes
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add in butter, vanilla, and ½ cup of confectioners’ sugar. Whisk until creamy.
Step 3: Add in the pecans, flour, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
Step 4: Form the dough into small balls and arrange them on a cookie sheet.
Step 5: Place the sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
Step 6: Remove from the oven and coat the cookies with confectioners’ sugar immediately.
Step 7: Allow the cookies cool at room temperature.
Step 8: Roll the cookies again in confectioners’ sugar before serving. Enjoy!
Notes:
If you are serving these cookies for Christmas, try adding crushed candy canes on top of each cookie.
