These heavenly hand pies are better than the ones we buy in fast food restaurants! Yes, I kid you not! Give it a try and taste it yourself. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 boxes (14.1 ounces each) refrigerated pie crust
1 can (21 ounces) peach pie filling
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 ½ c powdered sugar
¼ c milk
1 Egg white, beaten
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 220 degrees C or 425 degrees F.
Step 2: Unpack the pie crusts and let them sit at room temperature.
Step 3: Prepare the filling by putting the pie filling in a shallow mixing bowl as well as the diced peaches.
Step 4: Add in the cinnamon and stir until well combined.
Step 5: Unroll the pie crusts and use a biscuit cutter to cut 6 circles out of them.
Step 6: Spoon the pie filling in the middle of each circle pie crust.
Step 7: Fold each crust and pinch each edge.
Step 8: Seal the edges with a fork and poke each pie with it to release air pressure when cooking.
Step 9: In a small mixing bowl, add the egg white and beat until bubbly.
Step 10: Brush the top of each hand pie with the beaten egg white.
Step 11: Arrange the hand pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure to leave 1-inch space between each pie.
Step 12: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes or until done. You want a brown pie.
Step 13: Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, add the milk and powdered sugar. Whisk until well combined.
Step 14: Remove the pies from the oven and from the baking sheet.
Step 15: Put the pies into the bowl with the glaze and toss until everything is well coated.
Step 16: Put the glazed hand pies back onto the parchment paper and allow them to cool for at least 5 minutes at room temperature.
Step 17: Serve and enjoy!
