This pan-fried version of Panda Express’s chow-mein is delicious and can be made in a fraction of the time. Unlimited in variety and flavor! Simply use any vegetables you have on hand and cook them.
I really like making my own versions of restaurant dishes, usually at home and with fewer calories and my own twist. This dish may be prepared in about 30 minutes. At that time, I couldn’t possibly travel to the restaurant, place my order, and have everything ready when I arrived. Plus points for saving money and eating better at home!

Ingredients
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp brown sugar
½ c. reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tsp ginger, fresh, grated
3 (3-oz. packs) ramen noodles discard the seasoning pack
2 c. cabbage, shredded
½ c. onion, diced
sliced green onion and chopped peanuts for garnish
2 tbsp sesame oil
½ tsp ground black pepper
How to make Panda Express Chow Mein Copycat
Step 1: Place the soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, ginger, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 2: Following the package directions, cook the Ramen noodles. Drain well once done.
Step 3: In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the onion and cabbage. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring often until tender.
Step 4: Then, add the noodles and soy sauce. Toss until the noodles are coated.
Step 5: Let the Chow Mein rest for about 2 minutes. Serve garnished with some sliced, chopped onion and peanuts. Enjoy!
