Ingredients:
RIBS:
4 lbs (2 kg) baby back pork ribs
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt
1 tsp cracked black pepper
½ tsp cumin
1 tsp chilli or Cayenne powder (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil
SAUCE:
2 c (500ml) barbecue sauce
3 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ – 1 tbsp cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Discard the membrane around the ribs.
Apply cooking spray on a baking sheet.
Arrange the ribs onto the prepared baking sheet.
In a mixing bowl, add onion powder, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne, chilli, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Sprinkle the mixed seasonings over the ribs, then drizzle olive oil as well.
Use your hands to rub the ribs until well coated.
Cover the ribs with foil.
Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for about 2 hours.
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Stir until well combined.
About 5 minutes before the cooking time ends, brush the sauce over the ribs.
Turn the heat up to 460 degrees F and bake for another 10 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven and allow the ribs to rest at room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
Slice into bite-size pieces.
