You don’t need to worry about leftovers because there won’t be any, I’m sure of that! Here you go! All you need are these simple ingredients, and you are good to go! In less than an hour, dinner will be served. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
8 ounces dry pasta (small pasta)
½ c milk or heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-pound smoked kielbasa or turkey/chicken sausage, sliced ¼-inch thick
1 (10 ounces) can of diced tomatoes
1.5 c diced onion
2 c low-sodium chicken broth
1 c shredded Cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon salt and pepper, each
⅓ c thinly sliced scallions, for garnish
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions:
Place a 4-quart sauté pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the smoked kielbasa and onions, then cook for a few minutes until brown.
Add the garlic, then sauté for 30 seconds or until aromatic.
Add the tomatoes, pasta, chicken broth, seasonings, and heavy cream. Stir until well blended.
Cook everything for about 15 minutes or until the pasta is al dente.
Remove the pan from the stove, then add half a cup of cheese and stir until melted completely.
Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top, then cover the pan and allow the cheese to melt completely.
Sprinkle the scallions on top to garnish.
Serve right away and enjoy!
