Ingredients:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
16 ounces large shrimp peeled, deveined, and tails removed
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup milk
8 ounces fettuccine noodles dry
1 cup parmesan cheese grated
½ cup heavy cream
¼ teaspoon pepper
pinch nutmeg
parsley as a garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Place a skillet on the stove turn the heat medium.
Step 2: Add two tablespoons of butter and allow it to heat through.
Step 3: Add the shrimp and sauté’ for 1 to 2 minutes on both sides or until heated through.
Step 4: Place the cooked shrimp on a clean plate and cover.
Step 5: Add the minced garlic on the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds or until aromatic.
Step 6: Pour in the milk, chicken broth, and fettuccine noodles. Stir and allow it to boil.
Step 7: Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 11 minutes or until the noodles are firm.
Step 8: Add the Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, heavy cream, and pepper. Stir until the cheese has melted completely, then add the shrimp.
Step 9: Remove from the heat and let sit at room temperature to cool for 5 minutes or until the sauce becomes thick.
Step 10: Sprinkle parsley on top.
