It is incredibly easy to throw together using just a few readily available ingredients. Just do not peek! Once this beef tip and gravy come out of the oven, remove the foil and you’re good to go! I always love beef tips. I used to make this in my slow cooker, but this version is way better! Browning the beef tips are not required. Just place the cubed meat in the pan, pour the gravy over, and add the mushrooms, if using. Tight cover with foil and bake. The most important step is DO NOT PEEK while baking to prevent the steam from escaping.
INGREDIENTS
1 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
2 lbs beef tenderloin tips, stew meat, chuck roast or chuck eye, cubed
1 (0.87) packet of brown gravy mix (dry)
1 (10.5-ounces) can of cream of mushroom or golden mushroom soup
1 ½ c. water
1 (1.25) packet Lipton beefy onion soup mix or regular onion soup mix
HOW TO MAKE NO PEEK BEEF TIPS & GRAVY
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 300 degrees F.
Step 2: To a 9 x 13-inch pan, add the cubed meat.
Step 3: Place the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Then, pour this over the meat.
Step 4: If using, add the mushrooms and mix well. Tightly cover the dish with foil and place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 2 ½-3 hours. DO NOT peek!
Step 5: Carefully take the foil off when done.
Step 6: Serve the beef tips and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Enjoy!
