80 round wooden sticks with one pointed end
½ c of ketchup
½ tsp of baking powder
½ tsp of ground red pepper
½ tsp of kosher salt
Vegetable oil for deep frying
½ c of yellow mustard
1 c of yellow cornmeal
1 c of milk
1 large Egg
¾ c of all-purpose flour
1 tbsp of sugar
Directions:
Add flour, baking powder, cornmeal, red pepper, baking powder, and salt into a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Add egg and milk, then stir until well blended.
Prepare a deep fryer and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Add 3-inches of oil and allow it to become hot.
Add each sausage into the batter and coat well.
Add the sausages into the deep fryer in batches, then cook for about 3 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
Transfer the Mini Corn Dogs onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Repeat the process with the rest of the coated sausages.
Serve warm. Enjoy!
Notes:
These Mini Corn Dogs are best served with mustard and ketchup.
When coating the Corn Dogs, use a long-handled fork.
