½ c breadcrumbs
1 pinch salt
1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
Thawed puff pastry, cut into 4-inch squares
1 Egg, beaten
2 c shredded mozzarella
Fresh basil, for garnish
Grated Parmesan, for garnish
Tomato sauce, for serving
Directions:
Place chopped parsley, ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, garlic cloves, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Use your clean hands to mix everything just until blended.
Make 1 ½-inch small balls out of the mixture.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet. Make sure to leave a small space between each meatball.
Broil the meatballs for about 7 to 10 minutes or until done. Let the meatballs cool completely.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then place the puff squares on it.
Add a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese in the middle of the squares.
Top each cheese with a meatball.
Wrap the meatballs, then arrange them onto the prepared baking sheet with seams side down.
Brush each meatball with the egg wash.
Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until done.
Remove from the oven, then sprinkle Parmesan cheese and basil on top.
Serve right away with tomato sauce. Enjoy!
