Ingredients:
2 c refined oil for deep frying
⅓ c Lukewarm water to bind the dough
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp Italian herb mix
1 c all-purpose flour (Maida)
½ c paneer (cottage cheese) grated
½ c processed cheese, grated
2 tbsp Sooji (semolina)
2 tsp refined oil
¼ c whole wheat flour (Atta)
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add paneer, cheese, oil, herbs, and garlic powder. Stir until well blended.
Use your clean hands to rub the mixture until well incorporated.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then place the dough on it. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes.
Cover the dough with a muslin cloth, then place it in the fridge to chill for at least 15 minutes.
Place a heavy pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Form the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into thin circles.
Add them into the hot oil in batches, then cook until golden brown.
Transfer the puri onto a clean plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil. Repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
Serve right away with your favorite cup of coffee. Enjoy!
