I love Brussels sprouts and this recipe made me love it more! I cooked this yesterday and my kids could not get enough of it! It is the perfect side dish to serve on pretty much any meal. Try it and taste it yourself. Enjoy!

1 ½ pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
1 tablespoon sea or kosher salt

2 ounces bourbon
¼ cup pure maple syrup
Kosher salt
Cracked black pepper
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large pot with enough salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high, then bring to a boil.
Step 2: Add in the cleaned, trimmed, and peeled Brussels sprouts into the boiling water. Cook for 5 minutes or until bright green.

Step 4: Place a 12-inch cast-iron skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Step 5: Add in the bacon and cook for about 8 minutes until crispy and greasy.
Step 6: Add in the blanched Brussels sprouts and pecans.
Step 7: Sprinkle ground mustard on top and sear for 5 minutes or until the sprouts are crisp.
Step 8: Deglaze by adding bourbon. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the pans to get the browned bits.
